THE PRACTICE
Our Practice

Barnesville Vision Center was founded in July 2003 by Dr. Melissa Leach.
​
She was joined by her son, Dr. Zach Leach in May 2020.
​
In September of 2022, The Barnesville Vision Center merged with The Eye Care Center of Monroe County.
Dr. Zach is providing patient care at the Barnesville Vision Center Monday through Friday.
Dr. Melissa providing patient care on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
The doctors provide 24 hour coverage and can be reached at any time. Please feel free to call our office after hours and follow the directions accordingly to be assisted.
Our Doctors
Melissa S. Leach, OD
Dr. Melissa is a Guernsey County native. She graduated from Meadowbrook High School in 1985. She attended Wheeling College undergraduate and graduated from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1993. She practiced in the Columbus metro area for 10 years. In 2003, she moved back to Barnesville and opened Barnesville Vision Center.
Zachary A. Leach, OD
Dr. Zach is a Barnesville native, who graduated from BHS in 2013. He received his Doctorate of Optometry from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 2020. He completed a medical internship with the University of Miami's Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida in 2019. Upon graduating from IU, he returned to join his mother in practice in 2020.
Our Staff
Audrey, Mary, Anita, Amy, Heather, Rachel, Emily, Brooklyn, Shyla, and Kodee make up our wonderful staff! Each provides a different service for our doctors and patients to give you a well-rounded and thorough exam.
